What’s Ahead in Alumni Relations…

In case you are an avid planner by nature, we wanted to drop the inside scoop on what lies ahead for fall from the Office of Alumni Relations. As a caveat – most of these events are still in the planning stage and subject to change – but we’re going to do our best to execute as planned.

September: September is a hectic month around the Mercyhurst campus, and as such we have many other internet events filling our schedule this month. But the highlight of the month – or really the entire fall – is Homecoming 2010. You can read all about it at http://alumni.mercyhurst.edu/homecoming. Additionally, we are tentatively planning an event in Columbus, Ohio, for the last week in September. Stay tuned for more details on that!

October: October will prove to be a very busy month for the Alumni Relations team, as we have a number of events held over a pretty large geographic area! We will kick off the month in Ann Arbor, Mich., where we are hosting a pregame happy hour before the men’s hockey team takes on the University of Michigan on Oct. 2. We are also planning a trip to the Buffalo, N.Y. area during the first week of October, with more details to come shortly. The office is also finalizing plans for an event in the Washington D.C. area during the month, as well as a series of events in the Pittsburgh area.

November: Although November is one of our more quiet months due to events on campus as well as the Thanksgiving holiday, we are planning an event in the Chicago area for early November. Several members of the Alumni Relations team will be in Chicago for a conference the first full week of the month, and we would love to see any Mercyhurst alums who would like to meet up for dinner or just a drink.

If you are an alum who would like to see us and don’t see your location listed above, send an E-mail to rpalm@mercyhurst.edu and we’ll find a way to get to you!
